Shadowhand Developer Vlog #2

Wednesday, June 29th, 2016

Another sneak peek at our unique RPG card game, Shadowhand, in Developer Vlog #2.

Shadowhand is predominantly about strategic card play, all of which plays out against an adventure story set in wild and lawless 1770s England. Helen Carmichael looks at the setting for the game, and introduces some of the characters. We get to meet smugglers, highwaymen, a fortune teller and some wealthy gentry. We also learn how Lady Corneliea Darkmoor begins her career as the notorious highwaywoman, Shadowhand, as she sets out after her missing friend and companion, Mariah.

Shadowhand Developer Vlog #1

Tuesday, June 21st, 2016

OK it’s time for another sneak peek at our unique RPG card game, Shadowhand!

In this Developer Vlog #1 Jake Birkett is going to show you how we took a solitaire-style mechanic and turned it into a unique turn-based combat system.

He whizzes through the story section to check out core gameplay, so that you can learn about playing cards to drive duels and how to charge your weapons. We get into the inventory system and character sheet to show you some of the cool items Shadowhand gets to equip, and how mini-deck building works for a suite of abilities. With plenty of weapons, outfits, gear (bombs and potions) and special abilities to choose from, you’ll soon get an idea of how to start to build a better highwaywoman.
